I left Europe thinking that my Chinese experience will last for four months, but it somehow transformed into two years. It happened, without me really planning it…it happened, without me really thinking too much about it. In any case, one thing is clear: I wouldn’t give back the two years of China for anything. I’ve learned a lot, I started to be aware of my ignorance and, step-by-step, deal with it.
China will always have a special place in my mind and heart. Even if now I’m choosing not to go back right away, I’m sure that I’ll continue exploring China later on in time. If not physically, at least mentally.
If you need any advice related to China: getting a job as an English teacher, finding a language school for learning Chinese, planning a trip, looking for friends in Kunming, Yunnan province, feel free to give me a shout.
